Europe’s industrial and investment recovery is broadening despite renewed disruption, leaving credit investors to balance stronger capex-linked fundamentals against inflation, duration, margin, and refinancing risks.

Europe’s macro-credit story shifted repeatedly during the month as energy-market disruption alternately eased and intensified, changing the inflation narrative almost week by week. Falling energy prices initially supported a renewed disinflation story and tentative improvement in manufacturing, factory orders, retail activity, and investor sentiment.
