  • United Community Banks, Inc. (NYSE: UCB) (“the company”) is a $29.1 billion-asset bank holding company. Through its bank subsidiary, United Community Bank (“the bank”), UCB operates 190 branches across six Southeastern states, maintaining a top 10 deposit market share in Georgia and South Carolina. The company more than doubled in size since 2018 primarily through eight acquisitions totaling roughly $10 billion in assets. More recently, the proposed acquisition of Peach State Bancshares, Inc. (“PSB”) will add $786 million in assets and strengthen UCB’s presence in the Gainesville, GA MSA. In June 2026, UCB announced the sale of Navitas, its small-ticket equipment finance portfolio, for $1.9 billion in cash. The deal enhances UCB’s risk profile, sharpens its focus on core banking, and provides flexibility for loan growth, share repurchases, balance sheet optimization, and additional small in-market M&A.
