KBRA Releases Report Affirming Rating on the San Mateo-Foster City Public Financing Authority's City of San Mateo, Sewer Enterprise 2020 WIFIA Loan

On September 3, 2025, KBRA affirmed the long-term rating of AA with a Stable Outlook for the San Mateo-Foster City Public Financing Authority's City of San Mateo, Sewer Enterprise 2020 Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) Loan, related to the San Mateo Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade and Expansion Project.

The City of San Mateo maintains a sewer enterprise system which provides sewer collection for the residents of San Mateo and sewage treatment and disposal for the residents of San Mateo, Foster City, and portions of Hillsborough, Belmont, Crystal Springs County Sanitation District, and San Mateo County.
