Formed in 2020 as a Delaware corporation by its affiliate, Stone Point Capital LLC (“SPCL”), Stone Point Credit Corporation (“SPCC” or “the company”) is a non-diversified, closed-end externally managed business development company (“BDC”) that provides capital primarily in the form of first lien senior secured loans, largely to upper-middle market companies. The company has elected to be treated, and intends to qualify annually, as a regulated investment company (“RIC”) for federal income tax purposes.
The BDC is a private BDC with a planned liquidity event by the end of 2027.
SPCC is externally managed by Stone Point Credit Adviser LLC (“Adviser”), an affiliate of SPCL.
