KBRA Releases Surveillance Report for Premier Financial Corp.

On July 30, 2024, KBRA placed the long-term ratings of Defiance, Ohio-based Premier Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: PFC) on Watch Upgrade, including the senior unsecured debt rating of BBB, the subordinated debt rating of BBB-, and short-term debt rating of K3 following the recently proposed merger announcement with Wesbanco, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSBC). KBRA also placed the long-term ratings of PFC's lead subsidiary, Premier Bank, on Watch Upgrade, including the deposit and senior unsecured debt ratings of BBB+ and the subordinated debt rating of BBB. In addition, KBRA affirmed the short-term deposit and debt ratings of K2.
